Welcome to Extended Day 2014-2015
Hip Hip Hooray for Extended Day!!! Welcome! Students love our program! Each day your child will rotate through four centers that will provide various opportunities for academic, social and physical development. They will visit the Homework Center, Technology Center, Social Center, and PE Center. Students will work with partners, develop team building skills, computer skills and have time for homework. At the end of each week the staff plans a day of Fun Friday activities to celebrate their success.
Students are provided numerous opportunities with the....
Homework Center-a setting is provided with adequate space, assistance and resources to complete or work on homework assignments and class projects.
Technology Center-the computer lab is utilized to visit educational sites that enhance reading, math, science, language arts, and social studies. This time may be used to complete an assignment, which may require the need/use of a computer.
Social Center-Board games, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, music and many more activities provide students with the opportunity to develop and increase social skills.
Physical Education Center-provides a great opportunity for your child to learn and develop healthy habits in fitness, nutrition, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

What’s happening at camp? Each week is based on a theme such as Pirate Week, Wild West, Wet and Wild Week, Dog Days of Summer, Wacky Science Week and more. Activities and field trips are based on the week observed. In May, a calendar of our summer plans will be available to select a week(s) your child will attend. Students work on craft projects, play games, paint pictures, sing karaoke, talk with friends, and enjoy the outdoors.
